Adult Family Living Services
Did you know you can receive financial support to care for a loved one at home?
That is right! Adult Family Living (AFL) program, is a state funded program that gives financial support (a tax free stipend) to family members who are taking care of their loved ones in the comfort of their own home.
Asante Home Care, LLC. is an intermediary home care agency accredited by the Connecticut Department of Social Services. The agency was formed with a vision and a mission of "Supporting Families at Home".

To the Client:
Assisting Client with:
- Bathing
- Toileting
- Dressing & Personal hygiene
- Ambulation & Transfers
- Shopping & Errands
- Meal Preparation
- Laundry & Housekeeping
- Clients receive assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, shopping and transportation
- Clients receive care in their own home being provided by a loved one
- The agency provides the caregiver with orientation, education and on-going training
To the Caregiver:
- A tax-free compensation determined by the Level of Care
- Caregivers are paid to take care of their family member(s)
- Payments are made biweekly, direct deposit available
- Paid Time Off available
ELIGIBILITY:
Clients:
- Be 65 Years of age or older
- Need assistance with at least one or more activities of daily living (ADLS)
Caregivers:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Can be a family relative or friend, but not a spouse
COST OF SERVICES:
- There is no cost for individuals who have Medicaid /State Insurance
